Transitioning to a new school year is very exciting, and like most new things, is also an adjustment! Teachers return to school on August 26 to prepare for la rentrée. They will send welcome letters to your children that week and remind you of the various steps of our phase in, including specific timings. You will find all you need to do for a smooth and gradual transition listed below.

Phase In Dates

  • Please complete This Survey to indicate your preference for an in-person Home Visit or Zoom visit on these dates. In order to schedule the teachers' commute in the most efficient manner, the school will assign the day and time for each family depending on their home address.

    This is a precious moment where children connect with their teachers for the very first time from an environment in which they feel comfortable and confident.

  • This is a pivotal step in building the home-school connection, and for your child to become familiar with the space before the start of school. During this 20 minute visit, you and your child can preview the types of activities we offer and tour their new classroom. Teachers will send sign up sheets during the week of August 26: we encourage you to sign up for a classroom visit, especially if your child is new to our school. 

    What to bring?

    • Labeled set of extra clothes in a bag (underwear, socks, seasonal clothes)

    • Labeled inside shoes (ballet shoes,Toms or crocs are advised so their feet don't get too hot)

    • Labeled fitted crib sheets & a small blanket, if applicable (sent home every Friday to be washed, please bring back on Monday)

  • Children will be divided into two groups and split the day in the classroom. See phase in calendar for more information. Teachers will communicate the schedule upon their return on August 26.

    • Early Drop off at 8:30am for those registered.

    • Please bring a snack but no lunch.

  • After school care also begins.

  • Bring a blanket, your favorite picnic snacks, and enjoy a day under the sun. We’ll have activities for the kids and there’s a playground nearby.
