2026–27 Major Dates Calendar
Smith Street Maternelle closely follows the NYC public school calendar, with a few exceptions: we close for two weeks in December and finish a week earlier in June. We offer a 6-week summer camp program at all three campuses, plus an additional 2 weeks at Brooklyn Heights, for a total of 8 weeks. Families can choose between morning-only or full-day camp until 4pm.

The last day of school is June 17 to accommodate the Juneteenth holiday on June 18.
Smith Street Maternelle will cancel all classes and close administrative offices for inclement weather whenever the New York City public schools are closed. In rare circumstances, Smith Street Maternelle will make its own determination as to whether it is open or closed.
